Directions - Camping Fafleralp

Here we are at home.

The Fafleralp Campsite is located in the Alpine region of the same name, in the upper part of the Lötschental valley. It is right next to the car park where the PostBus stops. Fafleralp is a fantastic place to experience the great outdoors: it’s the starting point of numerous walking and hiking trails.

Arriving by car.

From the north, take the Autobahn A6 from Bern to Spiez. From here, turn off onto the cantonal road in the direction of Kandersteg. You can cross the Lötschberg mountain in only 15 minutes via the straightforward and rapid car shuttle train from Kandersteg, arriving comfortably in Goppenstein, the southern station for the Lötschberg tunnel.

From the south, take the Rhone Valley Autobahn from Lausanne or the cantonal road from Brig to Gampel/Steg. From Steg, carry on to Goppenstein, where a wide road leads directly into the Lötschental.

Even in winter, this road is passable without problems; winter driving equipment is necessary from November to April.

Arriving by public transport.

The Bern–Lötschberg–Simplon railway north-south line takes you hourly from Bern to the “Lötschberger” or from Brig to Goppenstein. From Goppenstein station, you reach the Lötschental villages in a maximum of just 20 minutes via the postbus.
